Welcome to Dalmatia!

Dalmatia, arguably the most beautiful region of Croatia, is a paradise for holiday makers because in its quite small territory it comprises many diverse aspects of our tourist offer.

Situated along the south-east coast of clear, warm and tame Adriatic Sea, protected from cold inland climate by mountain region of Velebit, Dalmatia has really got the best of what Mediterranean represents.

The diversity and distinctive natural characteristics of this territory have attracted people since ancient times, resulting in long tradition of life both in the coastal and island area. From prehistoric caves, first Greek settlements and Roman towns, to medieval communes and renaissance fortresses, different continuous urban settlements are scattered throughout Dalmatian territory.

Dalmatia prides with 5 (out of 7 Croatian) cultural, historical and natural sights registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List; Historical complex of Split with the Palace of Diocletian, Old city of Dubrovnik, Historic city of Trogir, The cathedral of St James in Sibenik and Stari Grad plain (on island Hvar).

Four (out of eight Croatian) national parks make special treats in Dalmatia; Krka (karst river with waterfalls), Paklenica (karst river canyon), Kornati archipelago and Mljet island.

As the biggest city and administrative centre of Dalmatia, Split is a perfect starting point for your Croatian holiday. If you choose to sail from Split, you can do island hopping and visit all the most beautiful islands of this region like Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korčula... If you prefer a sightseeing holiday in Croatia, Split is also a perfect place to start from, and its central position allows you to do daily trips and excursions. And finally, if your perfect holiday is relaxing by the pool of a private villa and enjoying the peacefulness of secluded beaches, close by islands are a perfect refuge from everyday busy life.

No matter what kind of holiday in Dalmatia you choose, if carefully organised, it is definitely going to be a memorable experience! And probably a place you'll always want to come back to...
